Over the past few years, The Art of Riesling has grown strongly. In depth, in topics, and across channels. And I keep getting the same questions: Where do I find what? Why does some stuff show up here, while other things land somewhere else?

So it’s time to bring a bit of order into my “Channel-Chaos“ and, more importantly, to tell you clearly what you’ll get where from now on, and why.

The Art of Riesling:
content by channel

Blog: depth, context, perspective

The blog stays the beating heart of it all. This is where the big pieces live:

  • detailed vintage reports
  • in-depth winery visits
  • stylistic context and classification
  • longer tasting features
  • texts that are meant to last

These are the kinds of articles that take time. To write and to read. Pieces you’ll still enjoy months or years later, because they carry real substance.

Substack: personal, pointed, close to the moment

Substack is where things get more immediate and more personal.
This is where you’ll find:

  • shorter essays
  • first impressions from trips and tastings
  • thoughts that aren’t “finished” yet
  • writing that comes from instinct rather than the archive

Substack is my space for reflection, opinion, and making sense of things in real time. Less polished, less final but closer. And it’s where I want more back-and-forth with you, through comments and the chat feature that will roll out over the course of the year.

Instagram: visuals, mood, the moment

Instagram remains my visual diary:

  • authentic, approachable images
  • short, punchy captions
  • snapshots from tastings, travel, and encounters
  • behind-the-scenes glimpses

Instagram is not a replacement for my writing. It’s the visual entry point. If you want the full story, this is where the path into the deeper content starts.

WhatsApp Channel: fast, direct, curated

The WhatsApp Channel is my most direct line to you.
Here I’ll share:

  • alerts for new articles
  • quick takes
  • spontaneous recommendations
  • links to new blog or Substack posts

No spam. No repetition. Just a curated selection of what actually matters right now.

E-Mail Newsletter: overview and perspective

The newsletter is your regular compass:

  • context around the most important pieces
  • links to new articles
  • short personal updates
  • a heads-up on what’s coming

It won’t land in your inbox constantly, intentionally. Only when there’s genuinely something to say.

Why this structure?

Wine needs context. But not every moment needs the same depth. Some things deserve a deep read others just need a spark. With this setup, you decide how far you want to go down the rabbit hole and, more importantly, when you want to.

I’m genuinely curious to hear what you think about my writing. So let’s talk, let’s get into the exchange, the discussion. Feel free to use the comment function under each text, no matter which platform you’re reading it on. I’m really looking forward to an even closer, more intense dialogue with you all.
